dc.description.abstract A video mixer [1] is used to select one or many video streams from different video sources and mix them together to form a single video output. The currently available video mixers use specific hardware devices of very high cost. Our solution "Chamelean" is a cost effective real-time video mixing and broadcasting software which can run on a regular personal computer using generic devices. Chameleon performs the mixing of multiple video streams such as applying transitions from one video to another, alpha blending of multiple video streams and compositing videos within each other as well as applying text, effects and images to videos. en_US
