dc.description.abstract This report looks at the most suitable ERP Implementation methodology for Sri Lanka context. A conceptual model is used to analyze existing methodologies and develop new methodology. The report is highlighted the factors those are considered in Reimplementation process. The three most common ERP implementation methodologies which have been used in Sri Lankan industries are discussed. Those are ASAP from SAP , AIM from IFS, and TARGET from BAAN. The results are obtained from the 9 private organizations which belong to either manufacturing or service sector. The research sample is 180 ERP end users of those companies out of 1000 which is the population in Sri Lanka. The success of the ERP implementation is analyzed through a questionnaire forwarded to the sample. The questionnaire is addressed 25 attributes which are directly involved with implementation process. From the responds, it is found out the most critical attributes for successful ERP implementation. The new methodology is developed based on the findings. The sub methodologies which has been used to addressed to those critical factors are rectify in order to provide maximum out put to the customer from the ERP solution by using most effective implementation process..
