dc.description.abstract The purpose of this research is to enable Facilities Management (FM) decision makers to identify key FM interventions that add value to the organisations and to manage a successful implementation and to measure the outputs. This study inaugurated with literature review, and then a preliminary survey was carried out to validate the data gathered from the literature review. To inform the findings reported in this paper data was collected through semi structured interviews with expert from different industrial backgrounds. Empirical finding shows that most industrial professions think they should apply the concept of Adding Value in daily practice but there are constraints such as resistance from top management, limitations within the hierarchy, workload factor etc. Many experts identified that identifying a particular added value and the part FM played in is extremely complex and momentarily difficult. And the most acceptable interventions which were identified through interviews are changing the physical environment, changing the facilities services and strategic advice and planning. All the interviewees agreed that they only use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of facility related activities. en_US
